You can create an environment for peace
“Life is not idyllic, it has ups and downs, stresses, and imperfections. Dealing with life’s ups and downs causes us sometimes, to become overly emotional, or to react in the wrong way. We know that things don’t always go the way we would want them to. The result is that life is stressful.” Life unchecked, builds up and enventually manifests itself as physical and emotional illness — “dis-ease” —-Dissatisfaction — suffering, etc. “The two great branches of human knowledge, science and religion, both have as their ultimate goal, the healing of human suffering and the elimination of Dissatisfaction. However, the actual result of man’s (woman’s) increased knowledge in these two fields has been that the World has grown increasingly hostile, increasingly stressed, …until, today, the level of Dissatisfaction is nearly 100%.”
“Why is the world filled with so much stress, dissatisfaction, etc.? Why hasn’t increased knowledge led the world to a better way of life? Is it really possible to experience lasting happiness and security?” (PLG) In Buddhism the following 4 Actual Facts give a clear explanation of how dissatisfaction arises and how it does not arise. I believe it is the key to “changing our negatives into positives” (BRG):

The 8 Fold Path is Oneness —Wholeness—Love—God’s Will—Oneness with yourself, your home, your husband or wife, your sexuality, your children, your spirit, and your actions and thoughts. We must seek harmony and resolutions for what ailes us, and our homelife. SEEK PEACE for your individual life —and then we collectively can effectively spread that around.
HERE ARE SOME WAYS THAT I AM PERSONALLY controlling my CAUSES in order to change my EFFECTS —

PRAYER –talking to God alone, and daily with your family ALOUD. This creates a Vibration of energy in your home—positive, healing energy, love, peace, protection, divine…(if you don’t say “God”, use “Creator”, “Supreme Being”, “Higher Power”, “Divine Father”… so forth)

ANNOINTING –use olive oil to the forehead of family members and then to you, as you pray for their protection and let them know how much they are loved —by you and our “Divine Father”.

CLEANSING — of each room of the house, inside /outside —get rid of broken and old items/mold/filth/clutter/items that have bad memories attached, and items that you no longer use. GIVE AWAY usable items to charity, or a yard sale. BURN incense, (frankensense, myrrh) or Sage leaves (as the native americans do) or clean so the air is fresher —get rid of foul/moldy/musky odors that are unpleasant. Breathe by BRINGing IN GREEN PLANTS to obsorb odor and to give off fresh oxygen for you to breathe in. ORGANIZE and get rid of paper clutter, old bills, receipts, or put them in a file box. Clean out your drawers/closets/cabinets of too much stuff that is not being used. This will simplify, and open up more space, and shift the flow of abundance, or what you will receive …..

REARRANGE— your furniture to shift the flow of energy. Make a more “open” space in each room, clearing and making more walking spaces —no congestion. Bring in more LIGHT by moving large furniture away from major windows. Get out of using such dark colors —BRIGHTEN IT UP.

MIRROR — clean the mirrors; no more “fog”, so that when you look into it, you can “see” deeply into your own eyes and meditate on “who” and “what” you really are on the inside and out. DO YOUR MIRROR MEDITATION periodically, wherever you have mirrors —in Feng Shui —also, it is believed that mirrors is a water symbol and relates also to “reflecting”, “flowing energy” that is positive and can bring more light and prosperity. (no cracks, make clear/clean)

LIFE —above I have mentioned PLANT LIFE (healthy ones); clip or remove dead ones or leaves. = “life”, “love”, “peace” (the color green), and oxygen. NATURE —fish aquarium; SOUNDS OF SERENITY– singing birds, water fountain, geodes (crystal rocks), seashells, etc. are clean life forms that add to the positive vibrations of earth and nature.

BREATHE — practise proper breathing, from extending the stomach when inhaling through the nose; then, release (exhale) through the mouth, slowing, and naturally. Practise this each time to meditate, pray, rest, walk, drive, and teach it to your family —this is the proper method of the breath, according to ancients and science.

EAT HEALTHY FOODS—each day, include Raw Foods (fruit, vegetables), eat less red meat, fried foods, no pork, eat more fish, and increase your intake of water for drinking (they say 6-8 oz size glasses 6-8 times a day) this will flush out fat, contaminates, bowels, and will assist in losing weight!

RELAX— have more quiet times in your home; turn of the tv, radio,etc. , make sure everyone knows that this certain time of the day is for quiet, relaxing, reading, yoga, or doing nothing, or meditation (which is also just reflecting on your day or focusing on goals, or a direction for the future). it may be a time for the family to wind down in order to get ready for dinner, family meeting time, or going to bed for the night.

CREATIVITY–paint, read, draw, sew, sing, dance, do beading, play an instrument, solve crossword puzzles, quilt, knit, build furniture, decorate, write poetry, or short stories, or whatever feels creative — create and encourage your loved ones to do so too! It is truely our way to spirituality and the divine attributes.

PLAY —recreation is just as important to adults as it is for children to grow and be healthy, mentally and emotionally. HAVE FUN, do something as a family, but do some individually. A Family that Plays together —is HAPPY.

EDUCATION—become more aware of the world, of interesting facts, or decide to increase your vocabulary (learn a new word each week, and use it). Or take a class, attend a seminar, visit a bookstore, or library and READ in order to stimulate your mind.

REALIZE SELF—examine your thoughts, ideas, views of life; evaluate whether or not they are uplifting to you or others; harmonious with views of “God” and universal humanity. Do you embody love for yourself ? Do you want Peace or war —are you truely a GOOD PERSON or a Bad Person?

SPEAK—speak positive words to yourself and your loved ones, and to strangers —we are constantly being judged by what comes out of our mouths. You are an extention of “the world” to everyone you meet, and know. Your family, neighbors, friends, and strangers are looking to you for the “example” of a “human being” — your words reflect your thinking. How do you speak to yourself? your children? friends? family members? others?’do you “say what you mean?” do you “mean what you say?” do you “think before you speak?” do you “treat others the way you want to be treated?” —THINK. THINK. THINK.

THINK SURVIVAL —do you think about living —being around; surviving? I want to Live. I am going to Live. I will do what it takes inorder to Live and grow with and in harmony with nature and the universe. LONGEVITY is what I am talking about; get out of “fear”, “sickness”, “death”, “dying” thinking —and prepare your family for living a long, happy, exciting, challenging, enjoyable, life of EXPECTING THE BEST. And CHANGING THE WORLD TO MAKE A BETTER WORLD FOR YOU, AND OTHER ‘GOOD’ PEOPLE.

FRIENDSHIP—become one who is not an “offender” —GIVE LOVE, KINDNESS, BE NEUTRAL, BUT BE POSITIVE —give the benefit –become a FRIEND OF THE WORLD. I am.
